Description
A classic Dutch map of Holland by Abrham Ortelius and drawn from the map by Jacob Deventer. Oriented with East at the top. Elaborately embellished with a compass rose, sailing ships, coat-of-arms, etc. Nice dark imprression. Latin text on verso. From the 1574 Latin edition or Ortelius', "Theatrum Orbis Terrarum", the first modern atlas.
